Fall rides

Went for a nice fall ride on Saturday morning... the weather has been great recently, unlike this past summer!

The last few days of riding into work have been largely uneventful.

City cycling review

I recently wrote to several aldermen and my MLA about the links between obesity, health spendind and transportation infastructure vis a vis walking and cycling as a good way to spend public dollars. This is an investment in recreation health and transportation.

Today's op - ed in the herald is not too bad either..

Alderman Brian PINCOTT took the time to write me back :

Thanks ******* !
Good points and good information…
I am really looking forward to putting together a plan that will address this and make cycling a viable option in our city..
And yes, obesity is linked to urban sprawl.. the studies are clear on that.. and the main factor is that it is completely car dependent!
So, thanks for your comments and thoughts, I will definitely keep them on hand as we move forward on this.

cool winter riding and a broken frame
